In this project, I had to follow the theme given each year. For two years straight, I had to create a tiny house that was off the grid, but still had the necessary equipment (stove, washer/dryer, sinks) to survive. The third year that I was involved with this project, I was tasked to design a recreational center for a community. Every year, my team and I researched areas that would work best for the design we were about to create. We looked at demographics, studies, and history of the area. We wrote a design brief, filled out a LEED assessment, implemented sustainable ways, and designed a floor plan on Revit. Afterwards, we used an industrial laser cutter, 3D printer, and modeling products to bring our floor plan to life.
